Thiamine derives its vegan and vegetarian status from thiamine mononitrate, thiamine hydrochloride.

Commercially available thiamine is vegan and vegetarian.

Thiamine, also known as vitamin B1, is synthetically produced as either thiamine mononitrate or thiamine hydrochloride. The first two sources claim it is sometimes non-vegan, however all sources I found suggest the only commercially available forms are the two mentioned previously which are completely synthetic and Ullman's encyclopedia has a table showing that the natural concentration of thiamine is much higher in soybeans than pork or beef so it seems very unlikely that any industrial production would extract it from those sources.
