Commercially available dicalcium phosphate is vegan and vegetarian.
Dicalcium phosphate, also known as calcium hydrogen phosphate, is an inorganic chemical with the chemical formula CaHPO4. It is used as a calcium nutrient and thickening agent in foods. It is usually synthetic, but was may be produced from rocks or bone ash. All manufacturers contacted by the VRG said their food grade calcium phosphate came from mineral sources.
